Socially Distanced Turkey Drive 🦃

Congreso welcomed State Representative Danilo Burgos and Senator Tina Tartaglione on November 19th to host their socially distanced Thanksgiving Turkey Drive! The event took place in the parking lot of our Education and Workforce center and over 100 turkeys were distributed to community members including 50 Congreso families.  

A special gracias to State Rep. Burgos and Senator Tartaglione for their ongoing support of our community during this challenging year! 

 

Judy Emmons Recognized by Family Planning Foundation

Congratulations to Judy Emmons, Director of Primary Care at Congreso’s Health Center, for being chosen as the National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association’s (NFPRHA) Family Planning Champion for November! 

“Her strong commitment to providing access to family planning services in her community is an inspiration,” said NFPRHA. We’re truly lucky to have her as part of our Congreso Familia! Pa’lante! 

 

Congreso Hosts Mobile COVID Testing Event

With the rise of COVID cases city and nation-wide, Congreso partnered with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health and Latino Connection on November 18th to bring a mobile testing site to North Philadelphia. Thank you for helping us bring a critical service to our community! 

 

Congreso Participates in BoricuaVota Caravan

Did you see us around North Philly on October 31st as part of the BoricuaVota Caravan? Members of Congreso’s Civic Engagement  Working Group joined partner organizations and took to the streets to honk, smile, and remind the community one last time to make a plan to vote as Election day approached!

Gracias to all of the community members, organizers, and partners that worked so hard to get out the vote this year!
