President & CEO Carolina DiGiorgio Selected as a Member of Superintendent Transition Team 

Congreso is excited to share that our President and CEO Carolina DiGiorgio has been selected as a member of Philadelphia’s new superintendent, Dr. Tony B. Walington Sr.’s Transition Team. Carolina has been chosen along with 97 other members of the Philadelphia community to support the superintendent in assessing key areas of the School District and setting priorities.  

“I look forward to working with the transition team and am ready to get to work and serve our beautiful children,” shared Carolina.

VP of External Affairs & Strategic Initiatives Julia Rivera Honored as AL DIA’S 40 Under Forty

Felicidades to Julia Rivera, VP of External Affairs & Strategic Initiatives, for being nominated and honored as part of the 2022 AL DIA’s 40 Under Forty! 

This third annual list aims to highlight the diverse young professionals in the city of Philadelphia who are doing impactful work in their respective industries. A total of 40 individuals were selected as final honorees. The celebration will take place on Friday August 26th.

Congreso Hosts Women’s Health Fair 2022

On Wednesday, July 27th, Congreso held our first ever Women’s Health Fair!

Clients and community members alike gathered to enjoy free resources for a healthier lifestyle.

We even had an important Heart Health presentation by Congreso Board Member and Cardiologist Maribel Hernández.  Check out her presentation in both Spanish and English

Save the Date! Feria del Bario Returns on September 11th, 2022

Since 1979, La Feria del Barrio has celebrated Latino culture, family, and the economic and educational aspirations of the people of North Philadelphia with Live Latin music, Latin food, art and crafts, and more!

 

Congreso’s Security Team CPR First Aid Certified

In June, Congreso’s security team, front desk staff, and some members of our safety committee attended a CPR First Aid certification course.

The course took place in our medical lab in the 2800 building.  

Red Cross certified all the attendees!
