Congreso and Philadelphia Pharmacy Host Community Toy Drive
This month we gathered our Congreso elves and partnered with Philadelphia Pharmacy for our Congreso Toy Drive! Thanks to their generous support and to Congreso staff, dozens of toys were donated and wrapped on December 12th. A total of 51 families and 120 children will now be receiving some holiday cheer! Way to go, Congreso Familia, and gracias to the Philadelphia Pharmacy!

The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation Donates to Congreso Families
Each year, the Malcolm Jenkins Foundation donates festive food baskets for families in need. Created by Philadelphia Eagles player Malcolm Jenkins, who wears 27 on the field, the foundation invited 27 organizations to serve as partners in identifying families in need - Congreso being one of those 27!
In total, 5 families and 26 children associated with our Family Empowerment Center received food baskets and toys. Gracias to the Malcom Jenkins Foundation for thinking of Congreso’s families! Learn more about the foundation below.
Social Innovations Award Nomination - Brendan Conlin
Congreso is proud to announce Brendan Conlin, Chief Programs Officer, was nominated as a finalist for a 2020 Philadelphia Social Innovations Award by the Social Innovations Journal for his work in the Healthy Workforce Category!
These awards honor our region’s most passionate Social Innovators, Entrepreneurs and Changemakers whose work and social impact too often goes unacknowledged. Public voting was open from December 9th – 16th and the winners will be announced in January. Regardless of the final result, felicidades to Brendan for his innovative work and leading Congreso on its Mission 2 Impact!

Congreso's Latina Domestic Violence Program
Partners Up for Winter Clothing Drive
As winter approaches, we’re trying to share the warmth! The Youth Services Program in our Latina Domestic Violence Program connected with Pan American Academy Charter School’s social worker, the school’s Girl Scouts Troop, and Lorna Concepcion to support a winter gloves and hats drive for the community!
On December 18th, 68 stockings stuffed with winter apparel was gathered and dropped off at our 216 W. Somerset St. building for children in our Youth Services Program! A special gracias to our partners for their amazing work!
